How to access audit trail?
You can find “View Setup Audit Trail” in salesforce org. To navigate, go to Setup | Quick Find Box | View Setup Audit Trail.
What can audit trail do?
Administration: Any changes in the company information, Users, Currency, workflow rules, roles, permission, profiles, permission sets, process builders and others can be traced in no time.
Customization: Any addition, removal, creation or updating of the Page layouts, Compact Layouts, Search Layouts, Formula Fields, Field tracking, Group settings, Custom settings, Custom buttons, Fields and others can be recorded with ease.
Development: This category includes Apex Classes, VF pages, Lightning component, Custom metadata, Apex trigger, Apex batch, Static methods, Test classes, Future methods and many more. Changes related to these entities can be captured in audit trail too.
Security and Sharing: Password policy, Public groups, Session settings, sharing rules, Grant access setting and others can also be tracked.
