In our last article, we talked about Attributes and how they can be used in complex products and pricing setup in Apttus. In this article, we will talk about some features of Catalog and Cart Pages in Apttus which are useful to increase productivity of Sales Users.
Sometimes we have a few products for which selling term or quantity is pre-defined. We can use Default Selling Term and Default Quantity fields on Price List Item to default fields for these products. Defaults feature helps Sales Users in reducing manual interventions and thus reduces errors.
While working with bundle and option products, we need to populate selling term or quantity of option products same as its bundle product. This is possible using Auto Cascade Selling Term and Auto Cascade Quantity fields on Price List Item. This feature also reduces manual interventions and errors.
In large enterprise companies, a single price list can contain hundreds of products. So, when user navigates to Product Catalog page, all these products are visible to him and it’s very difficult to select right products among them. We can create multiple price lists with lesser products to solve this issue but that is also not very efficient. So, Search Filters are used. Search Filters define which products will be visible to Sales Users in Product Catalog page based upon certain conditions.

Quotes with Multiple Locations
Apttus provides flexibility to users to create single quote for multiple Account Locations and thus eliminates the need of creating multiple quotes for multiple Account Locations. First, we need to create Account Locations which will be visible as picklist on left side of Product Catalog Page. Users can then select any Account Location from that picklist and with the combination of other Apttus Features like Search Filters, Constraint Rules, Attributes, Pricing Methods etc. users can configure products only for selected location. Once product configuration for one location is done, users can select another location from picklist and repeat the same steps. This way we can create single quote for multiple Account Locations.
